A Place for Thinking and Conversation

Thursday, December 10 on Zoom

The Center for Family Consultation invites you to take part in a meeting called A Place for Thinking and Conversation to engage in conversation with our faculty members about important issues in our nation and world.  As he was developing the theory of the family as an emotional system, Murray Bowen saw a parallel process operating in society.  In the 1970s, he expanded his theory to incorporate the concept:  Emotional Process in Society.  We will explore this concept as it relates to Isabel Wilkerson’s book Caste: The Origins of our Discontents. You do not need to have read the book prior to the meeting, as we start the meeting with a review of the author’s perspective as it relates to emotional process in society followed by a panel and audience discussions. You can find a review of the book in “The Systems Thinker” on the CFC website.
